About Us

Founded in 2010 by a U.S. Army veteran, Vocational Training Institute began with a vision to meet the HVAC/R industry’s growing demand for skilled labor. After operating his own HVAC/R business across Virginia and Arizona, he partnered with industry experts, became a national publisher for HVAC/R textbooks, and launched a technical school dedicated to fast-paced, hands-on education for future technicians.

Eight years later, recognizing the need for flexible learning options, VTI expanded into welding, recognizing the synergies between HVAC/R technicians and welders, allowing students to master the fundamentals of the trades and enter the workforce quickly.

Vocational Training Institute proudly maintains an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau, a testament to our commitment to quality education and student success.

Our History

Vocational Training Institute was founded in 2010 by a U.S. Army veteran. In operating his Mechanical and HVAC/R business from Virginia to Arizona, he recognized the labor procurement needs of the Mechanical and HVAC industry. In doing so, he met with industry experts, became a national publisher for HVAC/R textbooks, and began operating a technical school for future HVAC/R technicians by focusing on short-term, fast-paced, hands-on education in the HVAC/R industry.

Eight years later, recognizing the need to expand into quality short-term, fast-paced, hands-on education during both day and night time slots, Vocational Training Institute, LLC began offering both day and night time classes focused on teaching the fundamentals of the HVAC/R and Welding trades to ready graduates for gainful employment in the HVAC/R and Welding industries.
