How much is a class?

Our entry level technician program is a full price of $3,650 dollars. Duration is 150 hours(5 months), which you will learn the introduction the HVAC/R and Solar theory and perform a variety of hands-on labs.
Our individual programs are $1,300 dollars, for a duration of 50 hours(2 months) which include theory and practice on a specific subject.  Other courses include: Heating, R-410a training and certification, Hands-on Labs technical service procedures Workshop, Chillers, Commercial refrigeration, Construction blueprint reading, and solar PV(photo voltaic).

What kind of school is Arizona Vocational Training Institute?

The School is a vocational school that teaches heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical controls, and solar.

Are the classes offered in different languages?

Yes, during the night classes. Our school teaches bilingual programs(Spanish/English), meaning the instructor will teach in English, and translate in Spanish.

How do I register for a class?

To register for a course, it is recommended to visit the campus and fill out the registration form.  A government issued picture ID is required at the time of registration.  You may also download the registration form, and email it to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with a copy of your government-issued picture ID.  Make sure to check the current classes open for registration on the academic calendar, or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to find out which classes are available.

What times are classes offered?

We offer classes during the day and night. 
Day classes are from 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Saturday
Night classes are from 6pm - 10pm Thur-Fri

How do I make a payment?

A student can make a payment by visiting the school campus.  The school accepts cash, cashier’s checks, personal checks, debit card, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).  You may also pay by phone by calling our office: (480) 882 - 0911, or mail a check to the school: 3615 S. 16th St. Phoenix, AZ 85040

Can I receive certifications upon completion of a course?

A graduate will receive a Diploma of Completion for the amount of hours training in the course.  We offer a test to earn a Universal CFC Certification by the E.P.A. (Environmental Protection Agency) Universal, administered by us through Ferris State University, which will allow you to purchase and handle refrigerants nationwide.  The school pays the one-time testing fees on behalf of the student while enrolled in the courses.

Our training center is located at 3615 S. 16th Street Phoenix, AZ 85040 (16th St. and Broadway Rd.)
We are on the east side of the street, north of Broadway Rd.

Does the school offer job placement?

Our school will prepare you for a entry level position, and show you where to apply.  We give expert advice on how to apply for an HVAC job, and show the student where to look.  Our job board online will have websites for jobs, and links to positions offered in the area. We have a national job placement coordinator whose job it is to assist students in finding employment in the HVAC industry.  Note the school makes no promise or guarantee of job placement upon graduation.
